DOUGLAS NADLER

Douglas Nadler founded the Westminster Ensemble in 1979 after coming to Canada from his native New York where he received his B.A. from City University of New York. Mr. Nadler came to Canada in 1974 to study at McMaster University with a full fellowship and assistantship.
The Westminster Ensemble has performed across southern Ontario and in 1995 the Ontario Arts Council asked the Ensemble to perform for Contact which is a forum for all the communities in Ontario to hear the best ensembles in the province; Mr. Nadler brought the flute, violin, viola and cello quartet to perform for Contact.
In 1990, Mr. Nadler founded the Beaver Valley Concert Society for which he has programmed more than 40 concerts!
In 2000 Mr. Nadler founded the Collingwood Music Festival. As a professional flute player Mr. Nadler will be performing at the Festival. The Festival will have such well known musicians as Anton Kuerti, Quartetto Gelato, Garnet Rogers and Robert Michaels.
The Westminster Ensemble is comprised of many small groups of musicians that can perform for your event! For example, the STRING QUARTET, STRING TRIO, VIOLIN & HARP, FLUTE & HARP, FLUTE, VIOLIN, CELLO & HARP, MUSIC FOR SOPRANO, JAZZ PIANO, JAZZ ENSEMBLE AND DANCE BAND are a few possibilities for you to consider when you are choosing your music.
